AFGHANISTAN EID
Spending the Eid holiday relaxing, Bibi Haji, 9, left, and her friend Sabna, 10, swing on a homemade swing in Kabul, Afghanistan. Eid al-Adha (the Festival of Sacrifice) falls on the tenth day of Zulhijjah, the final month of the Muslim year. After the morning Eid prayer, Muslims slaughter cows, sheep and goats to sacrifice for God and to provide meat to the poor and relatives. During the Eid holiday, Afghans don their finest clothes and spend time with their friends and family.
