AFGHANISTAN ORPHANAGE
Ismaheil, 11, left, and Zabiullah, 12, eat their lunch at the Allahuddin Orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan. Ismaheil's father was killed during the Taliban regime for wearing his beard too short. The orphanage is suffering from a shortage of winter clothes, wood, blankets, beds, cars, phones, and electricity. "We don’t have a well-equipped kitchen and our clinic is not equipped with proper medicines for treating the children," said Deputy Director Mohammad Zaher Akbary.
